It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun. Short-Term Running Goals: Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point. Long-Term Running Goals: Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family. Ran in breezy conditions. Still nice for what we have had. Feet got wet today due to the warm temps.
Well, got some bad news.... I had today off so I thought I would get some things done. So the ice along the gutters so I thought I would shovel some snow off the edge of the roof...no no, I didn't fall... well not on purpose. I decided to get off the roof by jumping into a pile of snow that was along our driveway. Yes it was a large pile of snow but not taking into the fact that it had warmed up a bit and the snow became compacted, it did not give like I thought it would. I have done something to my ribs. I am struggling to take a breath of air.... Didn't think I would miss a run from this!!! Hopefully just tweaked something and will only be sore for a day or two. | |

| Easy miles after work. 36 degrees and a little breeze. Hanna came too.... had to give her a bath afterwords.... whe was a mess..road grime and mud....she loves the puddles. Great news ......ribs felt a little better today. Finally felt some improvement. I picked the pace up for a moment and didn't feel a lot of discomfort. Just a nagging side ache. | |

| Okay, I'm not the brightest but I didn't have anything to do this morning so I thought I would go out for my run before the day got going...... 5 degrees above.... with the wind chill -13 degrees. Remember Ralphie's brother Randy in A Christmas Story....like a tick ready to pop....well that's how I bundled up. Hanna made it 3 miles before she gave out.
