Got the kids off for school this morning and then took off for a quick run on a beautiful fall morning here in Idaho. Ran up Sunnyside and over to and around everywhere. Just some easy miles today. Have buyers remorse right now with the treadmill. I guess when it turns cold it will be better on my mental state.

Just a quick thought with all the harvest of frest produce that is going on. Crooked neck squash + peaches + pears + apples = good running and the

I hear ya about the treadmill! I have a treadmill that I obsessed about buying for at least two years. I finally got it this June and I've used it twice. My husband is giving me a hard time. I keep telling him I'll use it when it gets colder outside ...and INSIDE our house!

We had 71 days of 100+ heat this summer. So the ac at my house has been at 80-85 degrees all summer and we've still got record electricity bills. I don't want to run on a treadmill in 80 degrees! I'd rather run outside at 5am in 80 degrees.

I told him that when it's freezing outside and the inside of our house is 65... I'll run on the treadmill and be get plenty of use out of it!

I can see why you're having buyers remorse on the treadmill... We have a really nice one and I've used it maybe 3 times. It's in our bedroom sitting on carpet so when I run sweat flings everywhere...so my wife says I can't use it until we move it somewhere else. but there's no other good place to move it :-( I end up going to the gym when I want to run on the treadmill but those only go to 7:30 pace which is too slow. My wife does walk a lot on the treadmill so I guess I shouldn't complain. Trust me, you'll like the treadmill in the middle of winter!

Oh...and the fresh produce sounds really good after my bike ride this evening :-)

Thanks you great folks from Texas. I just don't comprehend your hot weather! Dedicated runners! Our winters are brutally cold and nasty. My basements temperature will be in the mid to high sixties which will be pretty nice in the winter. Last year it was a challenge to run six days a week outside. I just hate to spend money! I squeak when I walk.

We had a couple of boxes of fresh peaches and pears and they are going quickly! Yum!
