Running Accomplishments:

Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

Ran some hill repeats for the first part of the run today on the TM. 800 meters up and 400 recovery. The last 5 I ran at mp which is 7:40 to 45 ish. That's the thing, it has been a few years since I have ran that race and I'm not sure exactly what my pace is. I have improved since then and I believe that my speed is better. Guess time will tell.

Finished up a year full of injuries and adventures. All in all I am pleased with what I have been able to do this year. Three months was basically a wash due to injuries. Family, work, going back to school, serving in our church, and trying to run has been interesting to fit it all in this year. Thank the good Lord that I married well and my kids are super supporters. Should be another busy year. Looking forward to April to see my son again.

Running has given me time to reflect and enjoy my life. We are so blessed to live in this great nation. Thanks to all my friends here on the fastrunningblog that motivate and inspire me. You guys and gals are great!

You are a great runner with a great family. Happy New Year, hope you get to test out your training in a marthon this year.

AGREED, with all of the above! Running is hard to fit in, but a great spouse and kids sure does help!

Here is to hoping 2012 is injury free, it sure does make things nice!

OH, and I think you should run what you think your MP would be OR what you want it to be!

Have a great 2012 Rye. Seems like you have a great, balanced life and a great family. Now go run a marathon!

Good running Rye. I'm looking forward to running with you some day....Actually I'll probably just be starting with you but that will be fun too! Hope things go well for you this year!

Flat. I'm hoping that this will be the year to race and perform well. Thanks for the kInd words.

Kelli... The ptt injury was so nagging and frustrating this past year that once I recovered I really appreciate running injury free. A three mIle run without any flare up was such a victory! Back to normal training is sooooo good!

Fastjoe...thanks and it's going to happen.

IJR.. I'm certainly looking forward to running with you. You can just run circles around me and we can visit. Maybe you, flat, and joe can pitch in and buy me an orange running shirt to help with my speed and endurance this year. Probably helps fight off injuries too.
