Boston Qualifier

Running Accomplishments:

Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

40+ degrees this afternoon, just perfect for running! 2 easy miles and some mp miles followed by 2+ miles at 6:35 pace. 1 miles easy cool down. Overall felt good today considering the run yesterday. Just a great fall day. Ran up sunnyside and over to 21

How do you pump out 10 a day? sheesh! What are you training for? Hey.....is tomorrow the day??? or is it Wednesday?? I would not be able to sleep, I would be too excited!!

Great effort with the fast miles after the MP miles. Glad the honey-do list has shrunk.

From Rye on Tue, Nov 29, 2011 at 21:38:01 from 174.27.122.238

Steam8 The training is just to be ready to put in gear early spring for a marathon. Which one, I'm not sure. To answer your question...... Oh how I wish it was this week! Dec 9 is the day! So a week and a half. You are soooo right, no sleep, but my work list is dwindling and I am running again! Small miracles.

Joe thanks. Seems like every once in awhile I pull off a good run. Doesn't happen very often.

Steam8 wow I just read my post. That didn't make any sense at all. Apparently I'm excited about something! I'm such an idiot!

From I Just Run on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 11:19:11 from 67.79.11.242

You guys are confusing me...But this looks like a great run to me Rye! Keep it up and you're going to have a great marathon in the spring!

From Steam8 on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 17:05:22 from 166.70.55.77

It made perfect sense to me Rye! I am so excited for you! I thought she was coming home this week. I went on a mission too. I went to Indiana in 93....a loooooong time ago. It was pretty tough! Did you serve?

After reading IJRs post...you better go and get you some orange running stuff! It makes you feel good. Do eeeet!! ha!

From Rye on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 18:58:00 from 174.27.125.29

I didn't serve. I was afraid my girlfriend (wife) wouldn't be there when I got home. I'm living those would be mission years through my two kids that are serving. It's hard being a bishop and hanging out with the youth and trying to promote missions when you didn't serve. Argh!

From Burt on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 19:07:08 from 68.14.209.26

Note: Rye did not serve a mission. Must guard this little gem of information for another day.

Note: Amy served a mission. This is getting better and better.

Burt. You are not suppose to look at my blog today! Schnicky

From Steam8 on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 19:17:53 from 166.70.55.77

Faaaaaabulous! Burt, I will quit teasing you about the pantyhose okay?! ha!

Rye, my husband didn't go either. I don't know very many people that serve others like someone in a bishopric.

From Steam8 on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 19:19:06 from 166.70.55.77

Hey Rye, you just have to be his friend on FB and then you get all sorts of ammo for the blog! :)

From Burt on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 19:27:16 from 68.14.209.26

What was the name of that prophet again that didn't serve a mission? The one from Idaho. I can't remember.

From Rye on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 20:21:17 from 174.27.88.18

Burt... Lets see.... maybe Hunter. There are more.... Are you saying that I am in good company?

From Burt on Wed, Nov 30, 2011 at 20:22:48 from 72.223.93.131

Yes. Yes, I am.
