Running Accomplishments:

Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

42 degrees and no wind. Great morning here in Idaho Falls! Sheridan and I started out ot 5:50am and ran up Sunnyside and over to Boulevard and back home. IT band issues so we cut the run a bit short. Ice and stretching and hopefully no problems come Monday. Now time for a peach and blueberry smoothie!

Good run, hope the ITB calms down. Enjoy the smoothie and the rest of your weekend.

Hey Rye,

I don't know how long you've had the ITB and I know you've been running a lot longer than me but have you tried some faily stiff soled shoes? Even though I've never really had this problem I notice when I was running in my Mizauno's (which were very soft) my ITB would sometimes get a little sore. I've gone back to some stiffer shoes and haven't felt it anymore. Do you take Glucosamine? I've heard it can help things like this too.

I'm thinking about renaming my Blog title to "Fight Terroism...Ride a Horse"...How do you like it?

Interesting thought about the shoes. I have some Kayanos that are stiffer than some of the other shoes that I run in. Today I ran in my Ravenna shoes which is a neutral shoe. Maybe?? Hey I absolutely love your possible blog name! I'm still chuckling to myself. My daughter, who is in the process of vetting her masters in exercise science, walks, bikes, runs where she needs to go and got me to change my blog name to it's present name. She does go to school in a small town, so it does help. I'll be looking for your name change!
