Running Accomplishments:

Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

Cool and windy out this morning so I opted for the tm. Mostly easy miles for the most part. Picked up the pace during the middle portion of the run. This might be it for the week. I have a HUGE Day tomorrow! Starting early and ending late, so we will see! Avg pace for the run 8:15

Rye, are you from Boston or just Sox fans? My two sons are Sox fans but we have no connection with the city. We were at a restaurant in SLC once, a pretty nice steakhouse, just off a camping trip. They were wearing their Boston hats and they got cornered by a native who wanted to make sure they weren't bandwagon guys just because the Sox had finally won a World Series the year before. I think they passed the test, but it was a nervous moment for all of us.

Flat.... I have been a devoted fan since 74'. No bandwagon fan here. Can't stand those guys anyway, they don't know what we have been through! Just love the Fenway Park atmoshpere and the history of the game there.

Opted for 11.2 on the tread and dread? Bleh! How do you do it? I just can't get myself to run more than 5 on it. I HATE IT!!!! 8:15 is a great pace too!

I hope your day went well. Must be church stuff??? Hopefully not another funeral!!

Steam8 With your taste for classical music and all, this may not work for you, but Jack Bauer '24' television is pretty intense and can make the miles just fly by. You might be too refined to enjoy the barbaric nature of the show! Could be a long winter and it might be worth a try!

From Steam8 on Sat, Nov 19, 2011 at 23:53:21 from 166.70.55.77

Tithing settlement....we were suppose to sign up. I don't think we did now that I am thinking of it. I am in Primary with a bunch of 5 yr olds. The last hour is so hard for them. I fill them with lots of treats and we have lots of fun. I do try to teach them a bit in between bribing them with candy to be quiet! ha!

I haven't ever heard of Jack Bauer 24, I will have to download it. Since you said that your college age son used to play piano music when he was home....have you ever heard of John Schmidt? He plays piano music. He is one of my favorites and in my Sunday playlist (August End and Walk in the Woods).

I can't imagine having a child away at college. I don't want mine to grow up, even the one that is a pain in the rear right now! haha!
