Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

Got up early and ran up sunnyside and over to 21st. Nice morning, but my legs felt heavy again. I didn't run with the inserts the last two days. I think I am recovering from the last two runs with them. All in all, a nice week. Slowly getting back into the swing of things. PTT seems to have healed up nicely. I will play it safe for a few more weeks before a bump up the mileage.

Double digits! That has to feel nice (well, now that it's done anyway). Bet you are back up to speed soon. Do you think the orthotics were the key? My wife still struggles with PTT, I think she's gonna see the doc soon...

Congrats on hitting double digits.

Twinkles. Thanks all I can say is .... It's about time!

Joe..... I don't feel like it was the orthotics, but I do believe that they are helping....... that is if I could ever get use to them. They make me ache from my Achilles to my shoulders. I ran with them about 16 miles this week. I think it was enough rest and the kttape. I'm still nervous about running without the tape or the orthotics. I run with one or the other. Crazy? Hope things workout for your wife.

It's a good thing you're an Idaho Mormon where you're allowed to run on Sundays.

From Rye on Mon, Aug 01, 2011 at 16:19:49 from 71.209.52.51

You know Burt, Idaho Mormons have a lot to say about Utah Mormons......... We need to work on you Arizona Mormons ...... Wait ..... is the church even true there?

From Burt on Mon, Aug 01, 2011 at 16:48:56 from 206.19.214.144

How many latter day prophets were born in AZ and how many were born in ID? Look that up and get back to me.

From SlowJoe on Mon, Aug 01, 2011 at 19:51:09 from 75.109.104.60

Mormon Fight!!

A little known fact is that latter day prophets were actually all from Texas and whisked to Utah and Idaho as infants via underground railroad as part of a plot for Texas to take over the world through religion. We have operatives in Buddhism, Hinduism, Catholicism, etc. Pope Benedict is actually from El Paso. True story.

Um, I think you have that confused with the movie Salt.

From Rye on Mon, Aug 01, 2011 at 20:21:25 from 174.27.88.94

Burt, I have just spent too much time looking dates and towns up. Lee, Benson and Hunter in Idaho. I'm still looking for that one in ....... Arizona

From Rye on Mon, Aug 01, 2011 at 20:22:02 from 174.27.88.94

Joe.... What do you think of the Mormon

Fight?

From Rye on Mon, Aug 01, 2011 at 20:29:18 from 174.27.88.94

Joe.. I just read your whole post. Funny! Sounds like a 24 episode. Where is Jack Bauer when you need him. When I do find him I'll send him over to Burts place and he can do some interrogating. Burt don't bother replying. In Idaho we have FHE and we are pretty darn good at it. I'll be tied up with the family. Maybe I'll feel you in on what FHE is all about later.lol

From Burt on Mon, Aug 01, 2011 at 20:31:01 from 206.19.214.144

Um, yeah. That's what I just did. Come on! Are you kidding me??? None of them were born in Arizona??? I guess I need to study up on church history. No wonder we Arizona Mormons have to pay 15% tithing.
