Set off today to run a hard 5k but once started I didn't want the run to be over with that fast. 2 mile warm up and then 6:50, 6:45, 6:28 miles.....then 5 miles at 8:15 avg. After the 6:28 mile I felt just fine and felt like I could have kept the pace up for awhile. Slowed it down to run hard another day. Overall felt good this afternoon and legs responded ok. This was a good speed check for me. Felt like I have some good solid base miles in and just try to keep things moving in the right direction. |
