Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

So my legs felt like jelly this morning due to the hard cycling that I did yesterday. This run was more of a struggle than I thought but it is done and I am moving on. I am learning as I go with this rlrf program. As my cycling gets better I think that I will be able to keep turned up a notch.

Looks like a good workout to me! Look how fast your warmup and cooldown miles are. I think we both have a good start to the program. You will get stronger after a few workouts. Is your plan to cross-train tomorrow and run on Friday? That would give you Sat & Sun off for rest...?

I think that's what I'll do. Though I might have to do something on Saturday. 2 days rest seems like too long. What are your thoughts?

What works best for me is a cross-training day on Thurs, rest Friday and run long on Sat Morning....but I'm old...! I need that extra rest day. If I run my long run on Friday I'm tired from the Wed run, if I don't run my long run until Sun I'm too tired on monday for the repeats.

This week is really messed up for me and my daughter is in town. I am trying to run with her all I can. My plan is 2-3 easy tomorrow (with Callie), rest Friday, run a local 5K race Sat morning and then finish out the 13 mile long run as best I can.
