Boston Qualifier

Running Accomplishments:

Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

Rode into work with a coworker, but ran home later. Temp around 52 or so with a good breeze, 20+ mph from  the southwest. Avg pace for the run 8:15. I feel pretty good right now. Legs aren't fatigued like last week. I think that my base is built back up partially. I don't feel like it was in April-May but its getting closer. Just in time for crappy weather!

That must be frustrating. Come down here and run something with us. Seems like we are always doing one race or another. It isn't cool yet but we are pretending it is.

flat... I will take you up on that offer after the kids come home off their missions. That 800 club right now is taking most of my funds. I do have a friend that works for Southwest Airlines that is after me to take a trip on him. (stand by) I think that I will plan something in your neck of the woods in 2012. Hopefully things will progress and I can get back into the racing end of things this coming year. It's been a while.

So you're not looking forward to the winter? Down here in Texas, we're just starting to get to the great running weather. I just endured the sufferfest weather. All this time I've been envious of you for your low temps while I was melting, now you can start being envious of me while your freezing and I'm wearing t-shirts!

Good job getting your base back up without injury. I was hurt in April/May and I feel like I'm just on the cusp of getting back to where I was in March. I have a couple races over the next two weeks that are going to show me where I'm at.
