Running Accomplishments:

Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

Thought I would enter a running entry.....My runs for the past several months have been pretty easy and lame. It's about all I can do at the moment. I have an acoustic neouroma brain tumor that had been causing me a few issues over the last several months. I won't elaborate but my tumor is benign but needs to be taken out to prevent any further hearing loss and balance issues. I will be having this surgery later this summer while the tumor is small. Hoping that I can still run in preparation to that surgery and then in 8 weeks I'm back at it again.

I will continue to run but just dont feel like blogging about easy runs that the only high point is feeling less fatigue and no headaches:)

Burt....I agree that Tara puts compassion towards the bottom of her priority list. If she stops in the hospital to see me (SLC) I'll try to hit her.

I was going to act surprised, but Burt spilled the beans..twice. For the record, I thought you two were playing another dirty trick on me and I wasn't going to fall for it. I might have said, "Well at least I'll finally meet you at the funeral." Burt must have thought I was a monster. Then he never said he was kidding. I started to worry and even get scared. That is all true. Even the (in)sensitive part. I really hope things go well for you. Have you told your ward or any of the Summers clan yet? I kept my mouth shut, just in case. Burt is so bad with secrets. How long will you be in the hospital?

Sheridan knows Tara. I have to admit he was instrumental in getting the surgery scheduled. I'm not a fan a medicine or doctors (don't let your husband know this) I finally have been open about this. I tried to keep it hush hush for quite sometime but the word is out. I'll be in SLC for about 4-5days....I'm shooting for 2...don't think that is reasonable:)..as it gets closer I'll let you know when or I'll just message you. Don't want everyone to know when I'll be leaving my house.....even though nobody reads my blog. can't trust too many people.
