Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.
Personal:
Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.
Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.
Easy miles on the treadmill this morning at 4am. Good thing that I got it out of the way early, the day just got busy and ran away from me. The run felt great this morning after a nice sunday off. Avg pace today 8:20.
Ran in the afternoon on a very nice fall day. Temps in the mid 40's or so and not much wind. Ran a few mp miles..... not really sure what my mp is right now...I'm guessing high sevens??? Right now my easy runs tend to run in the 8:20 to 8:30 range. Maybe I'm running too many junk miles and I'm not sure what the heck I'm doing!
Very cool day. Highs in the 30's. Ran up sunnyside and around for a 10 miler avg pace 8:10 for the run. Legs are feeling good still. Varied the pace between 7:40 to 8:30. I would pick it up for a bit and then back off. The 7:40 pace felt comfortable. Don't know how long I can maintain that.......... maybe try thurs or friday to hold it for 10 or 12 miles and see how it feels. Happy with the progress.
Well, not the run that I wanted but I still got out. Easy miles today. Too many early mornings and long days..... felt tired today. Legs okay, just wore out. Hopefully the run tomorrow will be a good one.
