Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

Ok....You purists please don't judge me to harshly.I am putting down 30 easy miles due to my 112 mile bike ride today. I have read lots of conversions on biking to running and I don't normally log bike miles as run miles with those conversions, but with this ride I am going to do that. What a perfect day for it. Got to the Ashton hill in great shape. Felt beat after that though. Recovered nice after that.Enjoyed the flat and then the rollers. Maintained a good pace for the ride. 18.9 for the ride till I had to get up and over to West Yellowstone after riding 95 + miles! Anyway finished and got a ride home from a friend that works up that way. Time to wash the bike up. I believe that my training for this ride was below par. Not enough miles in the saddle. On the flip side I feel with what training I did Iam happy. Gorgeous scenery.

Yeah I think you deserve at least 30 for that ride! Sounds like a pretty good day. My legs feel pretty tired after 15 miles on the fake bike, so I can't imagine 112 on a real one. Congrats.

Wow, great ride! It was a perfect day for it as well. Nice job pushing thought to the end!

Joe... thanks for the vote with the mileage conversion...Awesome day...though I have a peanut size bump on my achilles..&*()&)**) very tender to walk. Biking is suppose to be easier on the joints than running!

Jeff..Thanks..has your wife had any issues with the achilles in her riding? The last climb going into west yI felt something wierd going on but didn't surface till later that night. It is swollen and tender not what I wanted but I can get through it..

No, shes hasn't had an achilles problem while riding. Sorry about the issues, hopefully some rest and stretching and icing can calm it down.
