Well, it's been a bit crazy to say the least. Last week I went for a quick run and felt like my tape job was to tight and it was cutting into me. I took it off as soon as I got home and found out that it was a blister not the tape cutting into my foot. The problem is that I found out after I pulled my skin off my foot, about the size of a 50 cent piece. Needless to say it took a while to heal. I headed off to work this morning temps about 40 degrees and no wind. Perfect running weather for this time of year, or for that matter anytime of the year. after 5 miles my tendon started to hurt again. I finished off the run and had a hard time walking the rest of the day. I got home and realized it had swelled up and very tender to the touch. I called the doc and decided to try some orthotics. The tape seemed to work for a brief period of time but not what I would like. I have thought that orthotics were for individuals with low to flat arches. Mine are med to high so I can't figure out what the real issue is. Maybe my arch is just collapsing and just can't handle anything stressfull now. |
