Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.
Personal:
Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.
Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.
Ten easy treadmill miles at 5am this morning. No PTT...... don't know if I was experiencing phantom pains Saturday or what. 8:30 avg pace this morning. Had a good Sunday! Started at 6:45am and finished up at 1:30pm. The shortest sunday I have had in 2 1/2 years. Got a good nap and watched the Marx Bros in the evening. Are there any Coldplay fans out there? Purchased their latest cd over the weekend. It's a good one!
65 degrees and no wind. It's a treadmill day. Cool and breezy out and my son was sick so he watched some tv while I ran. 1 mile warm up and then ran 8 miles at 7:40 and cooled down with an easy mile. Felt good considering I ate a bunch of Twix bars last night and some thin crust pizza. On a side note...... our 50 pound pumpkin survived Halloween still intact.
Just some real easy miles on a very nice afternoon. Felt like I was coming down with something yesterday, so took the day off. Feeling a little cruddy. Nothing too serious. Avg pace today 8:20.... nothing special....
Seems to be the order of the week...... 10 miles on the treadmill or on the road. Watched 24 tonight while pounding on the mill. Have a funeral to conduct tomorrow for a member of our ward for 40 + years. She is the mother of a close friend that I work with. He has been the care giver for her for several years now. She suffered from alzhemiers. Tough...
Seven miles early on a wintery morning. Ran late last night and up early for my run today due to a funeral this morning. Legs didn't want to work so it was a battle from the start. Missed one day this week, but all in all a good week No aches and pains!
