Completed 9 marathons with mixed results. 3:38 being the best out of the 9. It's been several years since I have participated in a marathon. Priorities and health have played a roll with racing the last few years. Hoping to get out and participate and have some fun.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Really want to race again. 5k's to the marathon. Love to qualify to run Boston at some point.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and family balanced and be as fit as I can so I can run and play with the family.

Personal:

Happily married for some time......5 great kids that overachieve in whatever they choose to do.

Blog titile explanation: Been diagnosed with a brain tumor late 2013. With my lack of confidence in the medical field and just not feeling good about it......I will be running with my friend, "Tiny Tim" until further notice.

Guess you would call this a progressive run. Started out real easy and finished up running the last 3 @ 6:40. Felt sluggish at first which seems to be the norm after sunday. Oh.... these miles .... on the treadmill. Looked gloomy and cool outside this morning.

This was a interesting workout. Random speed and some not so fast and slow and fast again....It was hard to actually break it down on the workout entry. Needless to say I am tired, so it probably did some good. Better do a recovery run tomorrow for sure.

Easy run this afternoon. Cool temps and no wind, sunshine, just a real nice November day in Idaho. Legs felt ok today, so I ran further than orginally planned. Avg pace 8:30 just nice and easy. Ran up sunnyside over to scenic dr. and back home.

Set off today to run a hard 5k but once started I didn't want the run to be over with that fast. 2 mile warm up and then 6:50, 6:45, 6:28 miles.....then 5 miles at 8:15 avg. After the 6:28 mile I felt just fine and felt like I could have kept the pace up for awhile. Slowed it down to run hard another day. Overall felt good this afternoon and legs responded ok. This was a good speed check for me. Felt like I have some good solid base miles in and just try to keep things moving in the right direction.

Just a nice recovery run today. Temp around 40 with no breeze. Legs felt ok, but needed to take it easy.

Heading out later today after work. Had some crappy news yesterday. I have been experiencing some discomfort in my fingers for a few months and thought that it might be time to get things checked out by a medical professional. Having difficulties doing the simple tasks. Just a side note, I did diagnose my ailments on the internet. Anyway, I have osteorthritis. Wait, isn't that for old dudes! Guess not, or maybe I am an old dude. Doc came up with some treatment but none that I cared for. I don't care to take medications..... my brother is even a pharmicist. I did some additional reading on the subject and found that some people get results from staying away from certain foods. Glucosamine and Chondroitin are also some possiblilties for relief. Most medical personel tell you 'no' with the supplements...... I think that they have some stock in the drug companies. Luckily it is just in my fingers and isn't present in any other joints. Didn't think that I would be dealing with this at the age of cough, cough, 48.

Ran on the treadmill after work. Set the incline at 5 and just roughed it out. Felt good today and as far as the week is concerned...... a good one overall. Avg pace 8:30
